Read more The purpose of the 457 visa program is to enable employers to fill skill shortages by recruiting qualified overseas workers where they cannot find appropriately skilled Australians.
On 23 February 2013, the Minister for Immigration and Citizenship announced a number of reforms to the subclass 457 program. These reforms are aimed at strengthening the Department of Immigration and Citizenship's capacity to identify and prevent employer practices that are not in keeping with the criteria of the subclass 457 program.
The measures being brought forward include:
Introducing a requirement for the nominated position to be a genuine vacancy within the business. Discretion will be introduced to allow the department to consider further information if there are concerns the position may have been created specifically to secure a 457 visa without consideration of whether there is an appropriately skilled Australian available.
Introducing a provision to allow the department to take action against sponsors who engage in discriminatory recruitment practices.
Strengthening the market salary rate requirements to provide discretion to consider comparative salary data for the local labour market when deciding whether a nominated position provides equitable remuneration arrangements. Additionally, the market salary exemption threshold will be increased from $180 000 to $250 000 to ensure that higher paid salary workers are not able to be undercut through the employment of overseas labour at a cheaper rate.
Strengthening the English language requirements by removing exemptions for applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds who are nominated with a salary less than $92 000 and requiring applicants who were exempt from the English language requirement when granted a visa to continue to be exempt from, or to meet the English language requirement when changing employers. Additionally, the definition of English language will be better aligned with the permanent Employer Sponsored.
Strengthening the requirement for sponsors to train Australians by introducing an ongoing and binding requirement to meet training requirements for the duration of their approved sponsorship.
Clarifying that 457 workers may not be engaged in unintended employment relationships by requiring workers to be engaged on an employment contract (as opposed to a business contract for services) and not on-hired to an unrelated entity unless they are sponsored under a labour agreement, or in an exempt occupation.
Strengthening the existing obligation regarding recovery of costs to ensure that sponsors are solely responsible for certain costs.

The adventure
"This is the opposite of the sterotypical protrayal of the middle east in the western media. Its an exciting and stimulating place to live and work. Coming here has challenged my pre conceived ideas and learn that cultures may differ but our healthcare needs are the same no matter where you choose to work"
The social life
"Although I did quite a
bit of research on Riyadh before I came here, I don't think I had a
very clear picture of what it would be like. Although I got a lot of
information from Profco, it's not something that you can really
comprehend before you actually get here. I've been positively
surprised by the social connections that you can make here, and how
easy it's to get an active social life. Initially I was wondering how
different it would be over here due to the very different cultural
and religious setting compared to the one I've been used to back in
the UK. However, it is less strict than I thought, and I came to
notice that you're able to have a really good social life here. This is where I live"
The money
"For me it was mainly about the money. The equivalent of what I used to make in a East End London Hospital after tax now goes into my bank account each month. I came for the financial security because I wanted to save up to buy a house. I love the weather and the travelling"
Career Development
"I've worked for 11 years and I came looking for financial security, more professional opportunities and challenges. I have definitely found both. The hospitals give fabulous opportunities to deliver top notch nursing care in state of the art hospitals"
The Travel
"I won't deny I came here to save for my pension. But I also came to travel. My grandma and granddad lived in the middle east for 30 years and he kept a journal of all the places he had been. Its a personal quest to visit the places he wrote about"

PMBAH is the fifth National Guard Hospital in the Kingdom after Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Al Ahsa. It is a full serviced facility with a 320 bedded capacity, located at the foot of Mount Uhud on Prince Naif Road; PMBAH is only minutes away from Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz Airport and the Holy Mosque - Al Masjid Al Nabawi.
National Guard hospitals are renowned for their high quality evidence based patient care practices. There are tremendous opportunities for staff growth and development, as well as a very active in-house training and education through lectures, seminars and workshops which are regularly scheduled by the Academic Affairs, Training and Development and Nursing Education Departments. In addition, more specialized courses on patient care, latest technology and training on specialized equipment are arranged in collaboration or sponsored with external providers.
National Guard Health Affairs gives high regard to the welfare of its workforce; orientation and induction are given to new staff to ensure they are competent, confident and supported through mentorship and preceptorship to mould them into the workforce. Furthermore, benefits and rewards are very encouraging to the staff.
Living in the City of the Prophet where one can perform ibadah in the Holy Mosque within a few minutes distance and just a few hours away for umrah in Mecca is a blessing, what more can a Muslim ask for?
As the National Guard Health Affairs expands its services to cover more regions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Holy City of Al Madinah Al Munawarah was selected as the next project in 2007. Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz Hospital will provide optimal health services for the National Guard and their dependents and to other eligible patients during their religious visits to the holy city of Madinah.
Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Hospital (PMBAH) is a full service healthcare facility with 320 beds capacity.

Enfermeiros para a Arábia Saudita
a) King Faisal Specialist Hospitais e Centros de Investigação em Riad e Jeddah;
Posso trazer a minha família?
Quanto tempo dura o contrato?
Mínimo de um ano renovável.
Quanto tempo demora o processo?
Quatro a cinco meses.
